How To Talk To A Browns Fan

It's football season and if there's one thing I've learned as a Steelers fan living in Ohio for the last 20+ years, it's how to talk to a Browns fan. Here are three pointers that are sure to be effective.

1. When you find yourself in a conversation with a Browns fan, it won't take long for them to tell you that they hate the Steelers. They're Browns fans, it's what they do. It's taught at an early age. Anyway, when they say anything negative toward the Steelers, simply smile and say, "I love the Browns!" This usually catches them off guard and they ask a silly follow up question and then you hit them with, "yeah, 2 easy wins every year." BAM.

2. When someone tells you they are a Browns fan, get a perplexed look on your face and then ask, "do you mean the "real" Browns who moved to Baltimore and won a Super Bowl or are you talking about that expansion team that never wins any games?" BIFF.

3. Before parting company with said Browns fan, politely say, "hang in there, someday Cleveland will have a professional football team too." POW.
