Debate

Real quick. The debate. I won't get into who won or lost (OK, Obama won) but we'll see how it plays out. I thought Obama showed much more leadership, always taking on the open follow up questions, while McCain was content to sit back and let Obama lead. Telling.

Overall, I thought McCain did much better than expected, which mostly means that he outperformed the standards that Duh set during the previous debates. However, he didn't bring much substance to the table. He kept trying to drive home his experience but as far as ideas and leadership he was mostly mute. His use of the phrase "what Obama doesn't understand" would have been much more effective if Obama hadn't repeatedly demonstrated that he did in fact understand, and in most instances understands much better than McCain.
